The Secret Prayer Language; the Groan.
Romans 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
I have led approximately 40 mission’s trips in my life. Most of those were to countries that speak a language other than my native tongue, English. In order to maneuver in that country, we need a translator. A translator is not saying the exact words you said in English, rather, they are rephrasing your words into sentences in that language. That is what happens when we groan in the spirit. The Holy Spirit understands that we have no words to express our needs and that a groan is all we can give. From those sounds of agony or concern, the Holy Spirit translates it into the language of heaven and intercedes for the will of God for our lives. Perhaps it is the best way a person can pray for the will of God. Get alone and groan, the Holy Spirit will handle the rest.
