How are you growing as a leader? How is your personal time with the Lord? Every Monday, I have a day of prayer and planning. It’s a day of assessment and listening to the Lord. The day starts out with my “replenish session.” I have several ministers I like to listen to and I will take a couple of hours from my morning and listen to them preach. It replenishes me from the weekend depletion. I will listen to a podcast or log on to their website and watch it. Taking time to replenish my self spiritually has had a radical change in my spiritual growth and health.
Here are some questions to consider that may help you understand how you are growing as a spiritual leader:
What is He saying to you?
How is the Holy Spirit leading you?
When was the last time you had a personal growth day with God and just worked on your own spiritually life?
What great book are you currently reading?
Is the Holy Spirit convicting me of something He want to change in my life?
Who has God assigned me to right now? Is someone requiring too much of my time that is not one of my assignments?
Who am I encouraging?
Who is encouraging me?
Are my prayers being answered?
Am I spending enough time in private worship?
Your personal time with God is the most important time you will ever spend because it not only affects you, but everyone around you. This “God time” not only keeps you on the right track but when life happens, and it always does, you’re ready for it.
