There is an epidemic of pastors leaving the ministry. Statistics tell us “1,500 pastors leave the ministry every month.” That is 50 pastors every day. I have pastors call me daily asking for advice who are hurting from rejection or just disappointed with their church health.
There’s a lot of information on leadership, coaching & church growth but I would like to take a different approach in writing these blogs. I am a believer in all of these things. I travel and do seminars and pastoral training conferences across the country. I believe, however, that God has called me to encourage and empower a new generation of pastors. My blogs will be real, straight from the heart of my own experiences of how to handle difficulty, change, and being stretched for the future. My desire is to share mentoring wisdom to a generation of emerging leaders.
John Maxwell says, “there are two great teachers in life: pain and experience.” We’ve all been there; but how do we walk through pain without being scared by it? How do we keep the faith and not give up, even in the hardest of circumstances? That’s what I want to talk about. So, as you keep reading, my hope is that you’ll be encouraged and empowered to keep moving forward.
