For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.    Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.    Romans 8:28 NKJV

 1. God Holds the Future

A.  I know the Plans I have for You

1.  You were designed by God with gifts and talents

2.  You have the DNA of God inside of you

3.  A master plan for your life has already been determined

4.  There is a season of preparation assigned and a season of destiny designed.

Psalms 139:16-17

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them

5.  Just because someone else gets to their destiny before you, doesn’t mean you are late or they are early.

B.  The Plan is to Prosper You, Not to Harm You

1.  God is FOR you, not AGAINST you.

a. Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

C.  God’s Plan is two fold:  Hope and a Future

1.   Hope

a.  He gives hope with “handfuls on purpose.”

b.   He gives hope by sending you a word.

c.   He gives hope by renewing His mercy every morning.

d.   He gives hope by comforting you with the Holy Spirit.

e.   He gives hope by giving you a spiritual blessing.

f.    He gives hope by giving you an uncommon peace.

2.   The second part of God’s plan is about your future.

a. Sometimes you just have to praise God on credit, because of His reputation.

b. God already has plans for your future that you are being prepared for.  You don’t see them yet, but you are in training for them right now.

1.  You are not figuring out your future, you are discovering it.

c.  We don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future.

2.  Angels are Working on Your Behalf

Romans 8:28 NKJV

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

A.  What do we do, when it appears as though the plan is not coming together?

1.  Have you ever had a “set back”?

That’s when something unexpected happened to throw your plan off course.

2.   God promised….

To give you beauty for ashes.

Garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

God still has…

A fourth man for your firey furnace.

The right stone to kill your giant.

He can still close the mouths of the lions.

He can still bring a nation to it’s knees.

Don’t give up on God! Nothing takes Him by surprise.

He has a “come back” for every “set back” in your life.

Stay in faith!

God will finish what he started.

The moment God put a dream in you, He set a completion day.

a.   God is the author and finisher

b.   God is a God of completion.

He is a finisher.

c.   When God was creating the earth, each day, He kept working on it until He could say, “that’s good.”  God is doing the same thing in your life.  He’s not going to stop working in your life until He can step back and say, “that’s good.”

d.  It may not look good today, but God is not finished yet.

Destiny is a collision course where preparation meets opportunity.
