It is so easy to read a book. If you read 15 minutes in the morning and another 15 minutes in the evening you can read an entire book in only 1 week. By using this method, I was reading 4 books a month at one time and it wasn’t even difficult. I read a book today called, “Making Vision Stick” by Andy Stanley. I read another book by him last week called, “7 Practices of Effective Ministry.” I highly recommend either book. I firmly believe that the secret to success is found in your daily routine, so reading must be a part of it just as much as taking vitamins and stretching. Books take you into another world and allow you to walk into rooms you would have otherwise never been able to visit. Some of the greatest leaders in the world practiced two disciplines: reading and thinking. Thinking is almost a lost art. I’m not referring to recalling what you’ve learned. I am talking about getting alone in a quiet place inside your head and filing away the clutter so that imagination can breath again. Readers are leaders and thinkers are imagineers. The magnificent mind is capable of inventing, solving and creating genius if we just unplug and get alone with our great big brain.
