I was standing by a marina one day looking at beautiful boats. I heard a commotion behind me. It was two little boys about 8 years old. They were peeking through the window of that small yacht and saying, “wow, they have cheezits in there.” They were looking at a half million dollar boat, but all they could see was a two dollar box of cheezits. I laughed when I heard it. But it reminds me of how easy it is in life to get our eyes on the wrong things. We have a million dollar blessing in front of us, but we see a two dollar problem. Compare your problems to the size of your God and to the size of your blessings. Trust the Lord; nothing takes Him by surprise. He already has a comeback for all of your setbacks.
Lamentations 3:21-24
This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him.”
