1. Pray for Opportunities to Share Christ
We should all pray for divine appointments. These are moments
in our life when God divinely connects us with someone who
needs to hear the gospel. Learn how to recognize these
moments in your life.
2. Invest in Un-Churched Relationships
Have at least 1-2 people in your life all the time that you are
praying for and befriending. Winning unchurched people to the
Lord starts with friendship. Many unchurched people have a pre-
conceived idea about church and Christians. Before you share
your faith, share your heart. John Maxwell said, “People don’t
care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
That is a great motto for reaching the unchurched.
3. How do I start a Spiritual Conversation
It can be as simple as talking about headline news and bring in
your opinion that you are thankful to put your hope in God. Here
are a few great lead lines:
a. What did you do last weekend?
b. What do you think about all the changes in nature?
c. What do you think about prayer?
d. Did you see “The Bible” series on the History Channel?
4. Create a Testimony Thesis
A thesis is a one line summary of what the article is about. In
this case, it is a one-line summary of your testimony. Richard
Neusteder is a jeweler in St. Louis. His one line is, do you have
a minute for me to tell you how I lost everything and got it all
back? Dr. Debra Peppers is one of the greatest soul winners I
know, she starts her conversation with a card of her in a bathing
suit 80 pounds heavier. They want to know her weight loss
secret and that’s how she gives her testimony.
5. Prayer of Salvation
Being saved is as simple as A,B,C.
A- Admit that you have sinned.
B- Believe that Jesus died for your sins.
C- Confess that Jesus is the Lord of your life.
