I have always been very healthy and for the most part highly energetic. Some of that is the good DNA I inherited from my grandmother who was still walking on a treadmill at 91. Another part of that is my commitment to taking my vitamins, omega-3’s and eating lots of natural foods. But I also have another part of my health routine that I think contributes to it considerably. I do stretch exercises often.

Dr. Mehmet Oz says, “eating a high fiber breakfast and stretching for ten minutes every day will cause you to loose 8-10 pounds in 6 weeks and will at add 5-7 years to your life.”  Many doctors even say that stretching is more beneficial than cardio exercise.

We were built to STRETCH! Isaiah 54:2 is a call to stretch your house because you are birthing something in your spirit.  People who stretch are more flexible, they have better blood flow and their bodies are less toxic.  If we apply that to our spiritual life, imagine the impact of stretching our faith through prayer, fasting, worship, giving and God’s Word.  Before we know it, our spirit man is healthy, stronger, equipped and full of life and energy.  Stretching doesn’t even take long; it just takes commitment.
